Come and be inspired at the Pentlands Open Studios 2026 Art Trail 15th-16th August

The annual Pentlands Open Studios Art Trail is nearly upon us and the excitement is building as final preparations are underway for our big weekend on the 15th and 16th August, 10am-4pm each day. The 2026 Art Trail takes in the villages of Balerno, Currie, Juniper Green and Colinton following the upper valley of the Water of Leith and is a beautiful walk at around 4 miles long but visitors can arrive by bike, bus and by car as well as on foot.

Pentlands Open Studios Art Trail returns this August

Twenty-five professional artists and makers will throw open their studios and exhibition venues across Balerno, Currie, Juniper Green and Colinton on 15–16 August for the annual Pentlands Open Studios Art Trail. Visitors are invited to meet the artists, watch work in progress and buy directly from the makers. The trail spans painting, ceramics, jewellery, printmaking, textiles and sculpture, with new pieces on show throughout the weekend.
