Doesn’t look like we are going to get one new face over-the-line™️ this week. Clubs can get away with one bad summer in the transfer market, two in a row usually spells trouble. Need to sort thier shit out pronto.

Defence was flakey most of last season and it doesn’t look like much has changed. Think I’d prefer to start the season with Burn and Schar in the centre. #NUFC
Newcastle United’s revenues exceeded that of Spurs for the ten years prior to MA buying #NUFC The financial rules now in place prevent us from repairing the damage inflicted under his ownership. This isn’t the natural order of things, it’s an eternal punishment for once having a shit owner.

Should #NUFC take this ‘new start’ as an opportunity to quietly drop the post match team photo? It was a nice touch to begin with but grew tiresome after a few seasons.
Big content dump from #NUFC - three things stood out. There was a resolute and positive message, no half arsed best endeavour waffle. Any fear MJ comes from the Liam Rosenior school of self help books can be forgotten. The media team have upped their game. Just need to sign 3-4 players now.
Leon Goretzka is out of contract. Wage demands too high right now, but that may change as the season nears.
Losing Bruno under Howe would have been a concern, but in many ways it’s now an opportunity to complete the much needed rebuild. Get another 3-4 players in and go into the season with new ideas, energy and a point to prove. Navigate a tough start and I’m optimistic. #NUFC
Arsenal’s tactics have clearly been to use sustained confusion to create a pressure point, so #NUFC are pushed into accepting a low ball bid. Hope the club tell them to do one and add £10m to thier asking price.
Would the Bruno transfer have been concluded quicker if the ‘intermediaries’ had kept their noses out and Arsenal had just contacted NUFC?
What good did selling Isak do us? We banked some cash and then wasted most of it by overpaying for two forwards who contributed next to nothing. Selling your best players is never a good strategy. #NUFC

Zero developments on the Bruno front today, essentially been at the thinking about making a bid stage for a month now. If NUFC do sell him we should make getting Nørgaard and Nwaneri on loan a condition of sale. Addresses a couple of needs and takes the pressure off this seasons kitty.
I’m not an advocate of medieval punishments but would happily see people who start social media posts with Exclusive 💣 burnt at the stake.

Nowt new, but the bias in the language never stops being irritating. The deal depends on how much the buying club bid. Always trying to paint NUFC as being difficult.

Bruno due back at #NUFC on Friday. The circus around his future has been running for over a month, but the chances of No Bid FC stumping up what we want was always slim. Expecting the usual suspects to whip up one more social media frenzy before they start back peddling to their pay masters tune.
Matt Black@jazzstandard.bsky.social · 2mo agoBruno’s value to NUFC far exceeds what another club would pay for him. And he genuinely cares about the club and he’s a good lad. Pay increase and a contract extension seems the most likely outcome.
