Getting to the end of The Founders' Trilogy (Foundryside) by RJB, and there's still a part of me that finds it utterly hilarious that this guy was like: "hey, wouldn't it be awesome to base much of the world building off of Descartes' clockwork deism and take it to the illogical extreme?"
