I had run plenty of 5Ks this year that I wanted to begin displaying my medals. I stained some wooden hexagonal frames I found at Michael's and 3D printed a black insert that the ribbon would securely wrap around.

I've been gradually building up a wood sample library using my cicada magnets. I'm trying to bring a wider variety to next year's Wonfes, and not just with the cicadas.
Housemate spotted a luna moth from the window, so we ran outside to grab photos. I haven't seen one in person before!
Happy to have found a turtle in the yard while mowing yesterday and moved him out of the way to safety. Today, I was even happier to find he returned! I now must protect my yard turtle.
With Wonfes US completed, I have to say that was probably the best weekend of my life. It offered so much validation (with a small side of imposter syndrome lol). I met SO many cool and inspiring people. I am exhausted yet artistically rejuvenated with too many ideas for next year.

For Wonfes US, I wanted a toy capsule toy machine for my table. I wasn't happy with what's on the market, so I'm designing and fabricating my own. The plan is to have them be fully customizable, modular if I want to line up more than one, and able to break down for flat packing.

After 15 years of waiting, desktop CNC mills are finally relatively affordable. I can't wait to make little wooden guys for Wonfest.
I can never predict what the client will do with a trophy model once the files are handed off. For instance, this weekend, Miku introduced the trophy I sculpted for ALGS. I'm so honored.

I ran the booleans on this beast. At the time, it was the most complex piece I ever had to split due to engineering and shipping constraints. It all worked out in the end!
