Struble I felt was the player that was going to be traded. Arber’s element of toughness and also getting PK time this season was adding an element to his game. Salary out and none back is key, and a 2nd in return is good trade. Best of luck to Struble.
14/19 GF/GA in 4 games. That’s almost 5 goals against per and 3.5 for. Special teams need to be better. Kapanen and Demidov out hurt, but we have depth that needs to be better.

Fowler call up isn’t just good for him, it’s good for Dobes. Dobes needs the healthy competition to push him, as a solid Fowler can steal his job if Dobes falters. Monty there was a place holder until a trade could be made, there was no pressure like there will be with Fowler. Good competition.
As a fan we need to be like the players, put the game behind us and look to the next. Reset.
Shorter preseason means in season transition will be harder for teams, not just Habs.

I think Slaf isn’t “feeling” chemistry as no Kapanen games 1-2 with him and injured Demidov, then Dach added to the mix of him and Newhook….kid tried too much and it didn’t work and then it becomes a mental game. Marty recognized and moves him with the top line. Scored, but the game is in his head.
Imagine what he could do in a place where he can win!
