MCP just got cheaper to scale

MCP’s 2026-07-28 specification removes protocol sessions and the `Mcp-Session-Id` header, making remote MCP servers cheaper and easier to scale. This post explains the old session model, why it required infrastructure such as sticky routing and Redis, and how stateless MCP preserves application state through explicit handles.

just to raise a pseudo-poll: how many folks work on a codebase that still actively uses React-Redux's `connect` API? I officially marked it as deprecated a few months ago in 9.3: github.com/reduxjs/reac... I don't plan to remove it any time soon. But I'm curious if I _could_, someday.

`@apollo/client` and ecosystem, as well as the `rover` package are on staged releases, too. drydock.org by @jovidecroock.com is a great tool in our workflow for verifying released before we publish them. Definitely recommended.

With all the recent security incidents in OSS libraries, I wonder how broad the adoption is for CI-gates (any ecosystem) and staged releases (npm). In Preact, signals, pracht, 0no-co and urql we use staged releases and it's great but that might be paranoid me adopting it
