I think CONFESSIONS II is a no skips album, which is wild because (for me!) even Confessions on a Dance Floor had 2 skippable songs on it. I don’t even think of it as a “part 2” of Confessions & it has me looking at her whole discography differently-

L.E.S. Girl… probably bc I lived off of Ave B & spent most of my 20s & 30s on the lower east side- it REALLY hits home. It’s such a small, introspective song, and weirdly reminds me of the Velvet Underground? which is just such a wild, incredible thing to say about a Madonna track. Love it.

if you don’t understand why gays in their 30s-50s love Madonna the way we do, you have to understand that she fought for us when NO ONE did. to her we weren’t just valid, but special, and even cool. She loved us BOLDLY, as much as we loved her, in a way some pop stars are afraid to do 40 yrs later.

Now that CONFESSIONS II is out I realize that Madonna is, of course, not a time traveler. But for this album she’s been excavating her life & revisiting herself in a way I don’t think she’s ever done (musically anyway) It’s better than any biopic, and as an album stands among her best

I’m starting to think of Madonna as a Doctor Who type character who can appear anywhere in time and space because wdym she dated Basquiat in 1982 and also performed at Coachella in 2026

Madonna and Basquiat

The hotel where I’m staying had no water from 11am - 5pm and I was a sweaty, annoyed mess. instead of going full Karen in the lobby I went and got an alcoholic milkshake. It worked!

randomly thought about a movie I haven’t seen in 25 years- Gypsy 83 where Sarah Rue and her goth gay road trip to NYC to go to Night of a Thousand Stevies… so I googled it- and a new Director’s Cut trailer had just been uploaded to YouTube like 15 mins ago, basically as I was thinking about it?!

Emma D’Arcy really kills it in this weeks ep of HotD- throughout the ep but esp at the end the different emotions they conjure: grief, anguish, heartbreak, hesitation, and a flicker of cold-blooded resolve… all flashing across their face in a matter of seconds. Honestly epic, Shakespearean shit lol

A customer said I look like Jonathan Bailey today and even though i don’t see it, except maybe we both sort of look like gay mice turned into human form, I will take it as a compliment!

found out a gay coworker (who I don’t actually work with directly) i became friendly with & IG mutuals is a zio genocide denier, and also “hates Mamdani” 😐 I immediately unfollowed, deleted, & blocked. My bio says free Palestine idk how he thought we could just “agree to disagree” on that?!

Here’s some pics of me from about 20 years ago with my coworker’s ass 🥹 We worked at a club called Mr Black in NYC- I was a cocktail server in a wrestling singlet & he wore an apron with his ass out. we were also the managers 😂

Two songs “Melissa I’m drunk and outside” and “The Puerto Rico Song (first time in San Juan)” being used everywhere on social media right now are AI. They’re also so dumb! I hate it here 🫩
