Starting to get that icky feeling after doing so much promo for this sale, blimey us artists have so much baggage against actually doing what we need to survive! 😬 But there really are some lovely bargains…
Jess Taylor@loadofolbobbins.bsky.social · last yr.Okay my beautiful bargain hunters, my mega seconds and sample sale is now live! There's lots of bird prints and a handful of my birb zines available, US shipping is also back up! www.loadofolbobbins.com/collections/... #BirdArt #SciArt #Illustration #ArtistSupport #Nature #Wildlife
I've created starter pack of as many #SuperSecondsFestival makers on here, some more active than others, but if you look in the posts section you'll see lovely deals from myself, @abistevensart.bsky.social @ficooper.bsky.social @or8design.bsky.social @jemgoodingart.bsky.social go.bsky.app/4pntMHf
Dropped a few special offers within my seconds shop, including 3 of these Lapwing prints from the series which aren’t seconds. Some colour tests of ‘Silver-studded blue’ and some special Artist Proof prints of my first ever reduction linocut ‘Tree by the Stour’ jemgooding.com/superseconds
This event has just started (in the UK). It’s a massive sale for makers to offer big discounts on their items, whether they’re seconds or just older stock. I’m offering a lot of reduced linocut prints and a sale on my paintings and cards. Here > www.jemgooding.com/superseconds
Looking forward to taking part in Super Seconds Festival on the 4/5th October weekend! It’s an online event for independent makers to sell seconds & older stock at reduced prices. There’s lots of makers involved selling lovely things. From 10am (uk) 4/10 www.supersecondsfestival.co.uk #art #handmade
This was a bit of an experiment, so there’s only 8 in the series. It’s a linocut print made using the reduction method but sort of working backwards, dark to light. It’s a variable series - each print is very slightly different. #print #linocut #printmaking #art #ArtYear #artist 🪶 jemgooding.com

A new small reduction print inspired by my local stretch of river where I often walk. ‘Tide Out, Wrabness’ For those not so familiar with printmaking, the reduction technique involves using one piece of Lino, carving out each colour layer after printing. Usually working light to dark. #printmaking

I’ve been a bit quiet on social media due to having loads of prep for a few local art shows. The framing/labelling & general admin takes as long as making the art! Here’s a little oil study of an Avocet and a Lapwing (on canvas) #artshow #art #exhibition #ArtYear #wildlifeart #artist #birds #JuneArt
