My mom likes to tell the story that when I started school in the 1980s, she was shocked that she had to buy crayons as part of my kindergarten school supplies. When she had started school in NYC, thirty years before, the public schools provided the crayons.

I took the kids to a place to see dinosaurs, but it turns out that it's a whole festival here with nature booths. Anyway, please enjoy my new friend, the bottlenose dolphin skull. 🙂

I love our veterinarians & whenever we get a new pet, we'll absolutely go back to them. But whoever they outsourced their tech integration to is so bad. They just texted me that my cat is overdue for her annual checkup. The cat passed away in May 2025 at 18 years old. AT THE SAME VET OFFICE.
When my daughter was two, we took her to Florida for my great-aunt's 100th birthday party. On the flight there, she decided that planes were not good. She became stiff as a board, while my husband carried her through first class, and proceeded to kick every first class passenger on the aisle. 1/

Some guy a few rows up turned around. My wife immediately snapped: "Oh, I know you did not just look back here." He spun back around and she asked me "Was that out loud?"
9 year old: No one has scored anything yet. Me: It's a very strange game. 9 year old: It's no fun.
About ten minutes ago, we had a lightning strike from a thunderstorm that was so close to our house that you could feel it. My husband said the EMP from it made Windows disconnect one of his peripherals. In case you're wondering how our apocalyptic climate change summer is going.
I went to bed and the AQI had finally dropped into the 80s.i woke up, and now we’re 168. My asthma hates this. 😭
Anecdotally, there are more people wearing masks in Manhattan today, but still--everyone should really have one.

As an attending child. She's 8. (They didn't require that, fyi.) Then I looked at the WSFS constitution. It doesn't say anything about being human.
