I had the nightmare of getting to see this first hand. I watched someone I loved cater and accommodate her and her daughter's narcissistic abuser for years, because that's what prolonged trauma does to good people. I hope they're okay. 🫶🏼

Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"

It's always fun to watch a "professional" throw an absolute tantrum about something not going their way. People always tell you who they are eventually, you just have to wait for it.

Something that's been pretty nice in the GitHub Copilot app is how helps me with pixel pushing responsive layouts. I've been working on a design update for my app PocketCal, and I used it to test screen sizes and it gave me screenshots based on all the ranges I asked for!

Been a fun morning of product launching! Easily one of my favorite tools that @github.com has ever released, so excited for the team who crossed a huge milestone this morning. Are you using the GitHub Copilot App? I'd love to hear what you think. It's become my primary dev surface at this point!

so like lemme weigh in on this as someone who is more financially comfortable than many in my generational cohort: everything I have gained seems precarious and temporary because I know the people with real money will take it all from me the second they get an opportunity and no one will protect me.

"People have stopped believing that the economy can be good, and have lost the willingness to admit that they are doing well. That pessimism might be harder to fix than an actual downturn," @annielowrey.bsky.social argues.

It's amazing how quickly the AI narrative went from "vibe your entire existance, put AI everywhere!" to "Oh, shit, this costs actual money!" Also ironic that people are complaining about price increases and yet NONE of us know what the actual burdened cost of all this is. Wild times.

Ironically, the more the Post tells me about all the terrible things she believes and fights for, the more I like her. It's not an opinion section, it's free @aoc.bsky.social marketing, courtesy of Bezos. That's got to be infuriating for him 🤣

Is there a support group for people who have wasted entire days trying to get ONE clean Playwright run? I don't drink, but today has me doubting the wisdom of that decision.

I just learned that statistically the person most likely to kill you is the person you are living with. There are a few current situations I know of where I'd encourage this and very much hope it's true. PS: I live alone, I'm safe.

Was listening to a podcast about the original Bad News Bears, and when it came to the scene where the dad slaps his kid the hosts were adamant: that would never happen today because the dad would have his life destroyed. Except in Texas. Definitely not in Texas. They don't seem to care there.

BUT the real musical throwback today is to show much love and respect to the Indigo Girls and send a big hug to Emily. As the band I've seen live an order of magnitude greater than any other there's always going to be a special place in my heart and in my life for them.

Throwback to the playlist a 16-year-old I knew logged into my Spotify and made to celebrate her and her mom getting away from their abuser. It's a banger of a playlist, and she's an amazing young woman. I love it. "I Think He Knows" cracks me up.

Of all the pieces of shit that Trump has subjected the country to, and there are a SIGNIFICANT number of them to be sure, Pete Hegseth has to be the most despicable of all of them. The smallest of small dick energy, and that's with him standing next to JD Vance. He has to end up on trial. Has to.

My sister just texted me to let me know that her FIL had died suddenly in his sleep. My heart aches for them and their young kids. Also, not gonna lie, one of my first thoughts was "That's not the worst way to go out in 2026." Send them good thoughts please, if you have them to spare. 🫶

Can I get JD Vance to visit with a child abuser and rapist I know in Texas? Seems like everywhere he shows up these days, what follows is overdue consequences for terrible people. It's good to see.
