The Haley Stevens ads that give the impression Obama endorsed her are also meant to appear as if they’re giving voice to local Black groups to thank Stevens for her support of people of color in Michigan. The AIPAC-subsidiary actually running those ads gets 1.7% of its money from people in Michigan

Text: Money from the AIPAC-linked United Democracy Project PAC, which as of July 13th, 2026, had spent $9.3 million in support of Stevens and $5.7 million in opposition to El-Sayed, likewise largely originated with donors outside of Michigan, as only 1.7% of donations to this PAC are from donors with Michigan addresses.

I did some analysis of both Bluesky activity and FEC records related to the Michigan Democratic Senate primary. Based on these data sources, a significantly larger share of Haley Stevens’ support appears to originate from outside Michigan than Abdul El-Sayed’s. www.conspirator0.com/p/michigan-s...

Mentioned recently the murder of my 4th ggm, so delving in a bit as I research more. Elisabeth "Betsey" Lynch died 4 Jan 1866 by her brother's hand. Newspaper says, "words are indeed too tame to describe the deed," but then goes on in unsparing detail that I'm not sharing here. #genealogy #ancestry
