I sleep for three or four days to alleviate the creative exhaustion from weeks of hard work. Now fully-rested, I am completely locked out of all my drawing ability until I spend 30 minutes doing some halfass ref practice. At which point I instantly regain all of my skills. How does that even work?

Chainsmoker Cat episode 2 was surprisingly funny. There were so many shows made by Japan that tiresomely clung to expositing the life of degenerates being pointlessly miserable, while not having the comedic payoff to compensate. But once they shifted focus to her fuckup friends it was great!

Ahh, I can really feel myself learning nothing. My solution of course, is to never do "ref practice" or "studies" for their own sake. I have to have a comic page or something where the ref image carries information which I can implement. Then it will maaagically stick.
