Beep21 has just published an interview with Yoji Ishii, Hiro and Masaki Kondoh to mark the 40th anniversary of Fantasy Zone. In it, we learn that it was the late Yoko Kobayashi / 小林陽子, character designer for Alex Kidd and Teddy Boy, who designed Opa Opa and most of the other characters in the game.

Name a game with a 10/10 soundtrack -- This game's OST is basically a kickass metal album. The composers at ω-Force are so slept on and it's a damn shame, because they're just as good as the sound team at Falcom or Atlus, Sakuraba, Go Shiina, Shimomura, Koshiro, Nobuo, Soken, etc. #KTfamily
