The new centennial park along the Sea waterfront has a pollinator’s garden and it is in full bloom. Rose garden also worth a stroll. Having run along that trail many times before this new version is a great upgrade
Hope everyone who made it to the solstice parade had a blast - it didn’t rain for a change too. I haven‘t made it in quite awhile but have always enjoyed it when I did

That other site launching an AI tool that removes clothing from images of women & children at the same time as they are banning SW accounts for immorality is something. Glad I left when El*n took control but very little about these times makes sense
What an awful day & first week of 2026. Cruelty has always been the brand of this administration but they keep pushing the boundaries further beyond the pale. I feel sick & angry. Headed to the mountains tomorrow which will be a nice escape - got to recharge somehow
Winter running frankly isn’t my favorite. Tonight I got rained on and was cold and had some guy start threatening me near the cruise terminal (probably on something as I had no interaction otherwise). But these little moments of beauty help, plus I know the fitness will help with skiing

Some days even a run can’t break through feeling depressed but at least I tried
My run this afternoon was a little moody. I kept stopping to take photos because things were changing so fast
It didn’t rain on my birthday run so I managed 8 or so miles. Grateful that my body can still do that, even if not as often as a decade or so ago
Going to miss the amount of live music I got to experience in Nashville. It was everywhere- so fun and I’ve not been anywhere else where it was so pervasive
The rain let up for my run and it’s Friday so I’m going to just be happy for that
