You know you're at a DIY punk gig when they're inventing whole new bass tunings due to a broken string, and the crowd has grabbed duct tape to effect repairs in the middle of a song.
I, a normal person, have written a song about trans healthcare that includes the line: Cytochrome P450 1A2, my enemy #trans #songwriting #pharmacology

The 4th annual LGBTBBQ+ was today. Much good food, music, and company, Blåhaj joining new humans, and the trying on of clothes. Turns out feeding 25 people 6 courses isn't that hard, and only the cleaning of the BBQ itself is left to do.

The duality of being trans: Afternoon in the Dáil listening to TDs being broadly supportive. Evening in the local Garda Station reporting a hate crime. (Don't worry, it was pretty minor).
Someone was happy to hear that the Dáil was talking about prides.
I've been having hum issues with my electric guitar and bass, which got noticeably worse when I start using a distortion pedal. I tried shielding them with copper tape. That removed some of the hum from the bass, but made no difference to the guitar.
