I'm so infuriated that children have died in Texas because of silicon valley tech bro bullshit libertarianism like Retire All Government Employees (RAGE) from Curtis Yarvin. Which was then encapsulated in Project 2025, then executed by DOGE. They've had real world consequences. Fatal ones.

I like that "Taskmaster" is trending on Bluesky every Thursday/Friday. 😁 If you haven't watched it yet, it's so much fun. For the first time the show has an American as a contestant. Jason Manzoukas brings an element of delightful chaos to the show that I'm very much here for.

I built a Bjorn! He’s trying hard to find insecurities in my network. Maybe I’ll throw out a Postgres instance with a weak password to see if Bjorn will find it.

If you don't think this is coming for you, look at Portland 2020 when the same types of people showed up and tear gassed the shit out of us. The difference is now that the courts have given them air cover, and nobody has faced any consequences for anything in 2020. #thentheycameforme

Unbelievable! Today, San Diego witnessed a government-sanctioned kidnapping. ICE stormed Buona Forchetta in military gear ripping workers away, then unleashing tear gas and smoke on the terrified community. Full on police state, fascism now used on American citizens. Stay aware. #OnYourSide

Working with Rust lately has taught me that I find myself more concerned with rapid prototyping and speed of delivery over correctness in my projects. I’m finding Typescript and Go to be a good combo for this. I really want to figure out how to do more Rust but I think it’s just not time yet.

💯 Look deep in your neighborhoods and communities. There are groups who are working hard to keep everyone safe. Mutual aid networks are there. If you can't find mutual aid networks, time to roll up your sleeves.

If you are looking around wondering where the helpers are, remember that a lot of the help isn't safe happening in the public view right now. Helpers are helping, but a lot of us are doing it quietly.

I feel this deep in my bones. For me it's the fire I have to build technology and offer it for free to better humankind. I still believe in a future where knowledge saves us. That future can't be monetized. When you ask the question: "How can we make money on this?" It's a race to the bottom.

I really wish I could describe GenZ what it felt like growing up in a miracle. My grandfather on my mother's side was a dentist. He had a grand encyclopedia collection and it was just this incredible thing. You could pick up a random book and go to a random page and just be regaled with information

I got laid off over a year ago and it has still impacts me to this day. The role I was in was the high point of my career. I feel for the people who are getting laid off. It's a really shitty experience. It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with unabated capitalism in tech.

The protest was so big that it’s impossible for the media to ignore. The protest won’t change trump but it’s not for him. It’s for us. Seeing your neighbors and knowing we’re in this fight together.
