Stuart Skinner's $3.75M AAV is the 29th highest in the NHL amongst goalies. That, for a 27-year-old, smack-dab in the middle of his prime, with more playoff starts than every goalie but Bobrovsky & Oettinger since 2023. Fantastic value.

Signing Stuart Skinner is such an interesting move for Winnipeg. It gives the Jets more options and leverage in potentially trading Hellebuyck because they no longer need to get a legit goalie back in the deal. Skinner can handle it if asked. It offers more flexibility.

All of the focus is (rightfully) on Bobrovsky, but I'm also interested to see where his goalie partner, Daniil Tarasov, ends up. He is only 27, and put up better numbers than Bob behind that injury-plagued Florida squad last year. He could be an upgrade for several tandems.

The Golden Knights trade next year's 7th round pick to Detroit for the 207th pick, and take forward Noel Pakarinen.

The Golden Knights draft goaltender Matthew Minchak with the 191st pick. He's a big goalie who will play collegiately at Cogate.

With their fifth round pick, the Golden Knights take Will McLaughlin. He’s a big, smooth skating defenseman who will play his college hockey at Colorado College.

Brady Knowling goes to the San Jose Sharks at pick 127. San Jose has a ton of goalie talent in the pipeline. Askarov obviously has Vezina potential, and they've got Joshua Ravensbergen and now Knowling in the system.

Fetterolf goes to Carolina with the 125th pick. He's an undersized goalie from Pittsburgh, but he has incredibly quick feet and great skating. Super athletic goalie who makes wild saves.

The Golden Knights trade up from 117 to 113, and select Jonah Sivertson. Sivertson is a tall shooter, who scored 24 goals in 66 games for the Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL.

With the 92nd pick the Golden Knights take Benjamin Wilmott. He's exactly the type of player Vegas likes to draft. 200-foot center with a strong all-around game.

The top goalie left on the board is Brady Knowling, a positional American goalie who played for the USNTDP and is committed to play collegiately at Boston U. Interestingly enough, Knowling's game reminds me a little of Jake Oettinger, who also went from USNTDP to Boston U.
