I've been very absent in the communities I'm apart of, so I only now found out about the passing of @jesskay.bsky.social She was an amazing person who lit up the chats with her words. I sadly didn't know her as much as many; but she did get art from me. The community isn't the same without her.
For those of you who knew my older sibling, you know that Jess wanted to be a librarian because they loved reading. They volunteered at a library for almost 10 years, that's how much they loved books. To honor Jess & celebrate their bday, our family is doing a book drive for Kids Need To Read

Thank you all who came out in support as we remember @jesskay.bsky.social and the impact she had on this community. Massive shoutout to her sister who came in to read all the loving comments you all gave to her. As we all grieve this massive loss, it’s important to remember to care for each other ❤️
Answering some repeat questions: •There will be no funeral for Jess, per their wishes, so we do not need help with funeral costs. •Our family is not looking for any gofundme to be set up for Jess atm, tho we appreciate people wishing to help •Jess' socials will remain up as long as I have access

An unfair lack of Bsky space to try and talk about @jesskay.bsky.social. The last message that she sent me was after seeing me on stream with a friend and saying "I'm glad you guys have each other. Friends are always nice to have." They are, Jess. And I'm glad that I got to be yours. Rest easy.
Jess was one of my best friends and someone who understood my gender journey as I understood theirs. We messaged every day, even if it was just us sending hugs back and forth. I'll miss her so much and ill never forget them. Thank you for letting us know. Rest well Jess, you will always be loved ❤️
