Cover illustration for 'The Odyssey' by Homer that I had the immense pleasure of painting for @wraithmarked.bsky.social 's Special Limited Edition 🏺🌊

Cover illustration for the Special Limited Edition of 'The Odyssey' by Homer painted by Eleonor Piteira for Wraithmarked Creative, showing a strong Odysseus with grey streaks in his hair and short dark beard, wearing golden armour and holding a spear and a shield, while standing in the sun before a mural made of mosaics featuring Athena and ships in the sea. There are branches of olive trees on the foreground.

Also uhhhh holy cow I passed 500 already! Hello everyone! We're all trying to re-find and rebuild our community so let's do an art share to help with that!😎 So hey there Bsky, I'm Ashley! I am an illustrator who likes Dat Spooky Shit and hot, terrifying ladies!

A painting of The Arm Scene from Harrow the Ninth.
Ianthe is gazing lovingly up at Harrow with her dress and long pale hair covered in blood from the amputation, while Harrow is gazing lovingly at the new arm she has just fashioned. There is some blood spatter on her face, the only point of color on the corpse paint she wears.
There are graphic golden halos behind them, symbolizing their Sainthood.

A figure in an old-fashioned dress holds their head in their hands, as though they had just removed it. A creature made of black smoke is climbing up out of their neck. Its glowing eyes make contact with the viewer's. The tendrils of smoke that make up its body swirl around the original figure.

In front of a night sky with a downward-pointing crescent moon, a skull sits on an overgrown tree stump. Bits of wood form a crescent moon shape behind it.
A dagger is stuck in the top of the skull, with a pommel stone reflecting light, which then blends into a circular pattern with a rainbow overlaid.

An old woman with long, white hair with lots of braids beckons to the viewer to come closer.
She wears a heavy Cloak with a feathered shoulder area. The Cloak has skull-shaped buttons.
The dress she wears is red and white, inspired by Ukrainian and Russian traditional dress.
The old woman's eyes are a deep black, with a subtle red glow.

Lauren Raye Snow @laurenrayesnow.bsky.social · 3y ago

Hi Ashley! You do gorgeous work! I love Dat Spooky Shit 👀 I'm Lauren! I paint haunted femmes experiencing numinous visions.

A painting by me called “Home.” A female presenting figure in the foreground, ambiguously young, with an olive complexion, orange-red lips, flushed cheeks bordering on burning, dark hair in braids, dark brown eyes, and a slender build, wearing a black satin fantastical confection of a dress, like a nun turned into a gothic cupcake. In the background a giant thunderhead looms heavy and foreboding in the turquoise-blue sky, itself bright and unnaturally orange. Flanking the woman in the background are two live oaks barren of leaves, and the ground is green but singeing a yellow-brown from the extreme weather. The woman clutches an armadillo, like a precious relic, or as Mary to a baby Jesus; her face is ambivalent, tense, afraid, sad. She is crowned with the blown out wildflowers native to Texas.

A femme figure appears in the foreground as if lit from below by firelight; she stands in front of a solitary mountain, its single peak backlit by the setting sun, or the first rays of dawn - in this liminal space, it is hard to tell. The figure has cropped dark hair, a pale olive complexion, and she raises her right hand, palm open, which has a bright red-pink blistering burn wound. Her left hand gently grasps her right wrist, and her left pointer finger rests in the center of her right palm. She wears a classical white robe, her shoulders bare. On either side of her, serpentine chains dance of their own accord. The terminal link of each chain has been broken. On the mountain, in the distance, eight iridescent lights scale up the peak. Stars dimly twinkle in the liminal sky above.

A shining woman appears in the center of your midnight vision, surrounded by ten white butterflies with two crimson marks upon their wings. The woman has pale skin with dark hair and gleaming dark eyes; she smiles enigmatically as she holds your gaze. She is nude, except for the many black caterpillars crawling up her left arm and breast, and she’s awash in a red light shining on her from her right. Her right arm crosses her body as she inclines her hand and fingers gently upward, toward the butterflies encircling her. Behind her head glows a ruddy, dim light, and pale orbs dance between the woman and the butterflies. The scene is dissolving around her, and around you.

A femme bodied person, illuminated by blue, pink, and gold light, wears steel plate armor and stands facing front, eyes gently closed and head slightly turned into their own hand, which is caressing their face. They have medium brown skin and black hair, and entwined in the fingers of their hands are devotional beads. Around their head is a circular halo, upon which is written “I am the angel and there is no other.” Within the halo there are many lush flowers, and these flowers surround and caress the head of Joan. There is prismatic light suffusing the scene with a background of subtle indigo, and small, graceful, glowing motes of dust, or stars, or glittering orbs of violet and golden and chartreuse light, surrounding the figure.

Wow you built so fast! Congrats! ✨ I'm Aimee. I do dark art, sometimes sci-fi, it's a toss up. :)

A low perspective shot of a man wearing a hood, long shirt with belt, and cloth boots. He is covered in blood stains, holding a rock in his left hand. He is framed by two very large extended wings. He is looking off into the distance. #DarkArt

A landscape of a city that is demolished. The buildings in the foreground are on fire and burning. Rubble flanks a broken up street as a lonely man walks in the distance towards where a ghostly forest overtakes the landscape.

An illustration of a partially armor-clad man kneeling. He has large black and white wings and is leaning on a two-handed broad sword pointed down into the ground.

A person doubled over, covered in a cloak, pierced through with three arrows. In front of them is a multicolor glowing forest, with luminescent blue ghosts hanging amongst the trees.
