I took the opportunity presented by not having an embargo to worry about to write something a little bit more than just a normal review. It is the sort of thing I hope to do more of as the landscape changes so please check it out.

It has been about a month since 007 First Light landed and @hewso.bsky.social is now ready to talk about why the quiet moments in this Bond adventure are the most important. Spoiler Warning Folks. www.player2.net.au/2026/06/embr...

Got a little personal with this one! Burnout is a horrible beast, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It sucks to feel like you're letting people down. Perhaps this will resonate with some of you, and honestly, I'm sorry if it does, and I see you!

In her latest fantastic piece @jesszam.bsky.social explores her personal experience with burnout and how Pokopia, of all things, helped her during that time. www.player2.net.au/2026/06/burn...

In bad news I have now learned just enough about football to sort of know when my team is maybe doing bad at the football and I do not care for this feeling, I am truly not built for watching sports. I want to return to blissful ignorance and believing in them always

I have so far spent all of Pride month sick with a flu, in what is absolutely an unjust and homophobic attack on me specifically. I should never have posted about building those bookcases and being ready to achieve again, they knew I'd be too powerful if I could also breathe through my nose

Every year for Pride, I repost Hue. I made him to send love and comfort to those who feel Pride isn’t for them because they aren’t out. You matter, you are valid, and it’s ok if you aren’t ready yet. Coming out is not a requirement for being part of this community. Happy Pride 🌈

A rainbow colored box turtle looking nervously out of a drab gray shell. There is text above him that says “It’s OK if you’re not ready yet.”

Hello friends I have been pretty offline most of this year because I have been dealing with hardcore burnout, but just checking in to let you all know that this weekend I have built three bookcases so far and organised so much shit and we are so back 💪

Personally, I feel like this is one of the series' stronger entries. But maybe it's because I simultaneously love and am terrified by space? Cool setting, some cool themes, great performances. Also, characters can text their in-game friends, and I think that's neat.

So @jesszam.bsky.social is afraid of space but ventured into the great unknown with Directive 8020 anyway, so that she could report back with this review. She wishes she could talk about more of it without spoiling it. www.player2.net.au/2026/05/dire...

I regret to inform you all that somehow I care about sports now? I have made the Matildas my whole personality? I have a favourite player. I have never had a favourite player on any team in my life. This is who I am now. I don't know how to feel.

The spiders were such a non-issue I didn't even include them in my review. Wild. This game is beautiful enough that they didn't even matter.

Even though some of its enemies are spiders, @jesszam.bsky.social has been playing the cinematic sequel Planet of Lana 2 - and has found it to be an improvement on the first game in every way (including fewer spiders) Read her review here: www.player2.net.au/2026/03/plan...
