Comments like this also completely leave out poor Zooble - someone who’s nonbinary and therefore trans adjacent - who is unambiguously a good person and usually seen as positive trans rep. Jax can be seen as a contrast to Zooble, who navigates their gender identity in a healthier, more mature way.

I personally think either is fine but that's just me. It was meant to be kinda subtle and vague, but I'm really bad at making things subtle.
The good ending! I admit as a cis guy I’ve struggled about how to approach Jax’s pronouns. I’ve heard mixed things about using a trans person’s correct pronouns if they aren’t out yet - and Jax never got the chance to open up about that. But if Goose refers to Jax as she, that works for me!

I think to reduce Caine down to “he’s just like AM now” is a bit too simple; I view him less as a villain and a monster, and more as a neglected child having a tantrum. His breakdown, while certainly malicious, was driven by anguish and confusion at the world rather than solely anger or hate.
hope TADC fans will come to understand that Caine can be BOTH a good representation of neurodivergent people struggling to connect with others AND a selfish prick obsessed with being the center of attention. you can be neurodivergent AND an asshole. that's why he's the villain!
