Something I suspected turns out to be true! You can cut a piece of magnet paper, normally used for printing refrigerator magnets, to make your own Glissopipe helper strips! Just cut them to size, mark them and you can either use a little duct tape or a dot of hot glue to be the touch guide.

People in the US south don't get the same changes in the length of the day that we get in the north. The south can probably get along with not changing zones seasonally, as Arizona does already. There is already a mechanism for that. But in the north the seasonal differences are more noticeable.

An adapted zither like instrument now plays in the slendro gamelan tuning with the aid of a set of autoharp-like damping bars. The Paramount Panerus!

This harp is tuned down 3 semitones, so that the key of "F major" is now "D major" , and I updated some unwound strings to wound ones so they could be tighter. The lowest string is a drone string, which can be a D tuned up an octave or an E or rather a lot of choices. I changed it from having 12 to 15 chord bars, adding three colorful Major 6th/Major7 (and even one 9) in D minor's area. The other chords are kept simple - not even using my half notch trick - because I get "optional color" from the drone string.
All the bars are topped with neoprene which is a lot more comfy and the bars all have regulation screws on their ends to get them closer to the strings. I re-felted a lot of the bars because my scheme of using a felt assisted hot glued layer of neoprene to damp the strings was not stable enough - the neoprene was fraying just like felt, and the stress on the hot glue was enough to disconnect it. So I just used the usual felt. And now it has a spankin' new pickup from D'Aigles, which I mounted in a way that I can remove it for other harps that might need it.
