Of course oil barons/petrochemical states deny #ClimateChange. What I don’t understand is why ordinary people do. Especially since the devastating effects are so visible now. I’m not sure our grandchildren will ever forgive us.

When a German city (Munich) owns a bigger stake in UK renewable energy than we do ourselves, it’s worth asking who is really benefiting from Britain’s energy transition.
Building #NuclearPower plants, including small modular reactors, is crazy. Building them in coastal zones that are prone to sea-level rise, flooding and wildfires is stupid. But building them – potential targets for bunker busters – ahead of a potential war with Russia is whacko! 🤪 #nuclear

So why do Tories & Reform & their millionaire owned press keep going on about the cost of net zero? Insurers. Actuarys. Farmers. Banks. All have admitted it’s a #ClimateCrisis which will cost SO MUCH MORE than the cost of net zero.

#Plantations don’t support native species as insufficient space & light - experts question their carbon capturing capabilities as felled before trees absorb much CO2. Also sprayed before planting causing ‘areas of silence’. Support @WoodlandTrust to purchase land as Govts do little to help

Little by little, we are losing more & more. Bumblebee Conservation Trust's national monitoring scheme shows a decline in populations after record-breaking heat of 2022. UK has had 3rd heatwave in 3m, with temps where #bumblebees struggle to fly without overheating. #NatureDies
