We don't need more rules, we need enforcement. "Bicyclists (including e-bike riders) must abide by the same traffic laws, rules, and regulations applicable to drivers. This includes obeying all traffic signals, regulation signs, and pavement markings." www.nyc.gov/html/dot/dow...

City Council Speaker Julie Menin is throwing the book at the “e-bike” debate and considering no less than 17 bills related to e-micromobility regulation at a marquee hearing scheduled for late September. buff.ly/Wqq9FuI

Nonsense!?! When 10 cyclists are blowing through red lights and I'm the one who has to dodge them for my safety? Multiple times a day? Being flipped off because they just don't fucking care about anybody else? A woman was hit and died a short block away from me last year and you call it NONSENSE?

Last week, while walking my daughter home from camp in her stroller, a car with Virginia plates and $8000 in NY traffic fines blew threw a red light and honked at us to get out of the way while we crossed the street. Maybe start there instead of some dramatized Citi Bike nonsense.

Add it all up. --Expanded bunker under a ballroom that has armored glass and walls along with weaponized drones on the roof. --Reinforced doors. --Additional fencing. --National Guard and ICE patrols now normalized. What other president since Madison ever had to have such defenses?

The stated idea of this proposal is to make it easier to close Lafayette Square when necessary while still leaving it accessible to the public most of the time. I think that’s BS as they’re also looking to permanently fence in Pennsylvania Avenue. Restricting access to the people’s house.
