All the major parties are pulling out of the race for Clacton, so it could be a straight Farage/Binface runoff. Go on, people of Clacton, you know it makes sense. #binfaceforclacton
This is THE single most annoying thing about Android. Randomly turns volume to inaudible, meaning you have to get phone out of pocket and rewind whatever you're listening to. If I didn't need it at that level I wouldn't have it at that level! Impossible to turn off, even with developer options.
**Yards Short, Taylor – Ep.75** For our 5th (not 9th) anniversary we find ourselves yards short, Taylor, as we pass through New Albany, only hanging around a brief while to swiftly make a few puns. === If that sounds like the sort of thing you wouldn’t […] [Original post on offgrid.tlmb.net]
Just reading @doctorow.pluralistic.net's latest, which - as usual - is the most pithy, witty, accurate, fair, essential and impeccably-argued piece of tech industry criticism you're likely to read this year. So do.
Marbled white butterfly. They're hard to snap on a phone because they flit about so much but managed to catch this one on a thistle.
Was going to post a mashup I'd done until I read this. Seems a bit harsh to treat this guy like a profiteering copyright pirate and give him a sentence (harsher than that handed to a lot of rapists) if he was just a DJ making and flogging his own unofficial remixes... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Don't believe, and never have done, that you can solve social problems by just banning stuff. #crass #ineffective #posturing
The scriptwriters of Disclosure Day need to be abducted by aliens and whisked off to the far reaches of the known universe for the rest of their existence. Not seen such a pile of utterly nonsensical drivel for many a long year. 👽
Right then, off you fuck now, Keir Tarmac, you soporific, sinusoidal waste of space.
**Parrot Blabs Smile Recipe – Ep. 73** In which the lass on the bus may have been pondering ‘Mars (anag.)’, solving a maze, anticipating a dessert at the Fat Duck or worrying about the Bill(y/ie). === If that sounds like your sort of prescription for […] [Original post on offgrid.tlmb.net]
New album from @boardsofcanada.bsky.social is absolutely amazing and well worth the 13-year wait! Absolutely f'kin outrageous that Trump nicked one of the tracks for a promo video yesterday though. Hope they sue him for a shitload: pitchfork.com/news/boards-...
Just spinning Robert Görl (+DJ Sylvie Marks)'s latest, "Dark Silver Moon Light". If you like classic D.A.F., it won't disappoint. Excellent stuff.

www.subvert.fm/audio-obscura Subvert officially launches today @subvert.fm --a music platform owned by its community. I have an exclusive 10 track album of laid-back-synth-pop-ambient tunes on this platform. Some strings, some field recordings, some nice melodic beats.
I was always more of an ICA man myself, but had a few memorable nights at the Scala in the mid-late 80s... so it was a delight to finally get round to watching @alicatterall.bsky.social's excellent docu "Scala!!!" last night. Fab soundtrack by Barry Adamson too. player.bfi.org.uk/subscription...

I've stuck up free lossless versions of a selection of my older (mostly satirical/humourous) numbers from 2003-2020 on new music co-op Subvert, until I get round to making some new stuff: Subvert.fm/jimjarmo
Whenever I hear the name Jacob Elordi, I hear it being sung by Throbbing Gristle's Genesis P. Orridge to the "tune" of "Hamburger Lady".
