Occasional dj, former seller of records. Occasionally writes and posts about music and other things. My opinions are my own.

Number 2 They tweaked the line up with every album but on the first record you could really see the sound system thing. A rapper, singer,dj,graffiti artist all there....and the sampling is off the scale. They became much more studio orientated after this. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

Number 7 Getting difficult to cut these down now so I'll have to be ruthless. I'm a huge fan of the Spector Wall Of Sound snd and nothing illustrates it better than this record. Ronettes don't get the recognition or respect they deserve. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

11 into 10 won't go. While this is a brilliant record it probably paved the way for their take on The Who Sell Out for the 90s. i.e So Tough. I loved the way they brought classic English 60s pop to the dance floor. Won't make the 10 unfortunately. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

This album completely bypassed me first time round and it took me years to appreciate it. Problem was I hate The Fugees but this is something special. It reminds me of a classic early 70s Stevie Wonder album at times. Can't fit it in my final 10 though. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

He was almost like the David Bowie of techno. Always seemed to be ahead of the game and some of his ideas were so bizarre they shouldn't have worked, but they did. Sounds so fresh to this day. Just can't fit it in my final 10. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

While the songs are as good as the other 3 albums it just doesn't hit the spot like the others. It just sounds a bit sterile as if they could have did a bit more. Villiers Terrace used to be an absolute monster live back in the day. I'm leaving this one out. #5DebutAlbumsSF2

Rolling Stones trying way too hard to relive the glory days on Foreign Tongues. With the exception of Ringing Hollow,Back In Your Life and Beautiful Delilah this is cringeable. People describing this as classic Stones have obviously never listened to classic Stones.

I think everyone goes through their Doors phase. I had mine in my teens and then just went completely off them. Can only listen to the 1st and last album now. Nothing in between. Needless to say the debut won't make my final 5. #5DebutAlbumsSF2
