6 Years ago this past week, George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Derek Chauvin is in prison. The Minnesota Republican convention opened their day with a moment of silence…. For Derek Chauvin. Racist fucking assholes. Every one of them.

People seem a little extra crazy, paranoid, precipitant, stabby today. Is it because we're coming off a holiday weekend? Oh wait, it's because we have a vengeful, narcissistic, fascist dictator leading our country.

It's how we do it in Minnesota...

Was trump's address enough to convince maga that everything is fine? It didn't convince me. He told us he's great 'like never before'. We still don't know when it will end or what the strategic objective is.

A major feature of Trump's communicative style is to harness ambiguity. Some of it is deliberate, some of it isn't, but I think for the most part it is. It sounds counter-intuitive because he is so thoughtless in many respects, but it requires careful reading.

Since ICE came to Minneapolis I've wandered how they pull up to a car and drag someone out, seemingly knowing ahead of time where that car will be, who is in the car and where that person is. They know where and when to show up. What software does ICE use? Is it legal? Is it an invasion of privacy?
