I've been quiet a while but I'm here to let you know, once again, that 4-1s will continue until morale improves (second in a row after I did trophy). Vial feels like the real deal right now, what with pending and wrath mostly gone and little teferi either.
Playing in RC Cincinnati today with UB doomsday. I’ll track my progress in this thread. Will get a decklist up later.

Took down a 12 person rcq. finally snag my local cinci invite. one of the most busted sealed pools I’ve opened, 3-0-2. Then drafted a solid bw deck that I wasn’t sure about because of my lack of reps in the format but was a house. Dropped first game of the day in the finals. @fireshoes.bsky.social

What a frustrating, fun, and disheartening weekend all at the same time. Feel like it's good to be transparent -- I spent $800 on 42 runs at the ALCQ, with a 55.1% WR and making it to draft 2 twice (1-2 each). Thoughts below I guess, they're pretty similar to everyone else
Share a metagame screenshot from mtggoldfish to scare Wizards! Oh no, the tabletop meta might be different! It didn't account for Larry's Unicorn deck at the RCQ! Oh, you mean the online results, because people can change decks on the fly to play what they think is best? How dare they!
I swear to god, Wizards can't get out of their own god damned way sometimes. They are making Magic Online change what decklists get published. Only the Top 8 decklists will get posted for challenges under 64 players. #mtg #ReleaseTheDecklists
My standard deck for my first PT. Very excited to get started. Got a pep talk from rich hagon last night that gave me actual chills. I’ll try to update here with results.
Opened the collector packs I got in my player package for the pt and opened this emptiness. It’s a sign.
First draft and I've already peaked this format. Might as well pack it up and just put lorwyn behind me.
Today my limited elo passed my constructed elo for the first time ever. And I’m enjoying draft? This ain’t right.

My final list for the RC. Feeling pretty good on my choices right now even if a few of them are against the stock builds. May the matchup gods be in my favor.
Had been feeling really stressed about deck choice for houston then a friend smacked me and said just play the best deck you have reps on. Registered with 1 second to spare for the challenge today, bubbled to 12th on breakers at 5-2. my round 4, 5, and 6 opponents all made top 8.

This is the fucking problem with dehumanizing people. I get people are angry, and expressing anger can be healthy. When it's done in a way that targets people there are going to be consequences and that is a problem

I worry that the worst kinds of people will latch onto the 'pigs and slop' language to harass both Wizards & players. I've seen it before. I worry that this is how a fandom splinters. Usually the next step is bad actors monopolising on it.
