Back in 2024 the two best players I saw in person in the Midwest League were Walker Jenkins and Angel Genao. And that second half included Travis Bazzana and Ralphy Velazquez

This is what I get for finishing tomorrow's podcast earlier than normal and scheduling an early Dr appointment. I'm as humbled by trying to do this as a 2nd job as I am saying all that earlier about Genao just for him to get called up. Maybe I reverse jinx this stuff

It's only been 1 1/2 innings. But so far the same things that have plagued the Guardians all year are still plauging them. Not hitting w RISP and defensive miscues, and walks coming back to haunt them.

Reset the counter to zero days without a defensive mistake. Arias seems to have the yips with his throws lately and the best defensive first baseman on the team is going to Columbus.

All through the pitching factory era of the Kluber, Carrasco, Bieber, etc...seemed like Cleveland never had a LH SP (TJ House/Ryan Merritt were the only ones who made cameos). Now they have 3 in the rotation. And 3 really good ones at that. Plus Allen in Triple-A

David Fry and Kyle Manzardo are going to Triple A to make room on the #Guardians 26 man roster for Jo Adell and Nathaniel Lowe. Lowe/ Hoskins will split 1B/DH. Cleveland needs to make a 26 man move for Foster Griffin. Shawn Armstrong to the 60 day IL opens a 40 man spot Brito cleared for Adell

I automatically discount any information from any "insider" who puts out every single bit of a chatter they "hear." They're either told stuff as leverage or they just put whatever they hear out there for engagement like they have something. It's not legimate news and they lose credibility.

People will get really excited about Jo Adell as a name. And yeah, hes hitting LHP this year. Overall, underwhelming year. As he has been his entire career. But if people look beyond the name, I don't think they'll be all that excited. It's a small upgrade that will get a few moments
