🧵 The CMHC only just last week posted the May housing numbers I use for my tracker, but yesterday posted the June! Housing starts were up in June this year compared to last (1,131 units in 2025 versus 840 in 2026), but overall housing starts in the first half of this year continue to lag.

Very interesting news from the feds this evening as Tunney's Pasture will shift from being developed by Canada Lands into the Build Canada Homes portfolio. Many of us are hoping to see shovels in the ground soon, and I'll seek further details on how this will or won't accomplish that.
