It's also unconstitutional. "Taking the 5th" or refusing to answer questions from police can't be brought up in a trial. Mentioning the lack of defendant cooperation would be the basis for a mistrial. In this case it is the basis for a prosecution. This story should be getting more attention.

ICE has decided it’s now going to attack the global press, including the Associated Press (AP), because they are reporting the truth. This administration will stop at nothing to prevent the press from telling Americans what’s actually happening.

Just a reminder: The last time a president appointed an attorney he had personal ties to, was when Nixon appointed his law partner and campaign manager John Mitchell. Mitchell ended up disbarred and spent 2 yrs in prison for his role as AG protecting Nixon.
