Law person. Other than that jack of all trades, master of none. I like to talk about comic books and related media. Music. Sports. TV and Movies. "Laugh hard. Run fast. Be kind".

You know what just dawned on me? I haven't listened to any music since it happened. Yes, I've heard it on the streets, and the radio on my car has been on. But I haven't listened to any of my music. Or consumed any media. Even being on social media feels kinda wrong.
Whatever you've seen on the news or on social media, I give you my word, it's 100 times more heartbreaking in person.

The smell of the unpicked garbage on the streets. The debris in every other street. Empty shelves at the supermarkets. No eggs. Traffic lights not working. The constant sound of sirens all over town. This whole ordeal feels somewhere in-between a nightmare and a fever dream.
I am getting a very low cell signal. Thank you for all the messages, and all the people that have reached out. I will get back to you in due time.
I just drove by the local morgue. They have set up tents for people to wait in line to recognise/pick up their relatives. Nothing prepares you for this.
It's been 24 hours. We're on the clear from replicas... Right? Right???
Currently trying to decide if I should go to bed with my sneakers on. ... Or, sleep on the living room couch.
To give you a general idea of how fucked up thing are here: The last number of reported dead people due to the earthquake I've heard was of 120 people. Out of those 120 people, 58 people (almost 50%), are from my city alone.
Damage at a local condo unit*. *My mom's aunt lives there. Their reunion was pretty emotional.
To whom I may concern: me and my family are safe. Not structural damage to our house. I won't lie to you. It's bleak. Really bleak. Downtown it's at least a good 60% gone. The streets are chaos and mayhem.
Post you from a different era in your life: (I dare anyone to guess how many years ago that picture was taken).

En un lugar de la Mancha, de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme, no ha mucho tiempo que vivía un hidalgo de los de lanza en astillero, adarga antigua, rocín flaco y galgo corredor.
The thing I like about a learning curve, with Gouache paint in this case, is that there is no controlling the outcome. What comes out comes out. Today:
The weather, most of this week has been hot and close to the 100º mark. Me: it's Sunday, after church. Let's take my mother out to eat at a nice restaurant. The weather: oh, I see you've decided to become the modern Noah.

My mom has worked in retail for almost as long as I've lived (and even before) with all that encompass. She's always been on a minimum wage. We said minimum wage she managed to put me through elementary/middle/high school at a private Catholic school (she paid my tuition). With that same...
Yeah yeah... Sex is cool and everything. But... Have you ever had a neighbour that consistently feeds you delicious food anytime they're hosting anything at her place cause you were nice to her that one time? *Yes, that's guacamole. Lots of it.
Today, it's a national holiday. We commemorate the battle of Boyacá. The most decisive match in our independence quest. To remember it, in the site where it took place, this monument was placed.
Took me close to two hours, but I finally caught up with my spending/income on the finances app I use on my phone.
