I think it's high time for companies to start wearing “supply-chain risk" like a badge of honor. Speaks louder than a bunch of company values cooked up by consultants.

Screenshot of a tweet from Pete Hegseth posted shortly after 5pm (DC time) on February, 27, 2026, reading:

Anthropic's stance is fundamentally incompatible with American principles. Their relationship with the United States Armed Forces and the Federal Government has therefore been permanently altered.

In conjunction with the President's directive for the Federal Government to cease all use of Anthropic's technology, I am directing the Department of War to designate Anthropic a Supply-Chain Risk to National Security. Effective immediately, no contractor, supplier, or partner that does business with the United States military may conduct any commercial activity with Anthropic. Anthropic will continue to provide the Department of War its services for a period of no more than six months to allow for a seamless transition to a better and more patriotic service.

America's warfighters will never be held hostage by the ideological whims of Big Tech. This decision is final.

If anyone is planning to attend Ryan Weaver’s memorial service, a few of us may be organizing a #WurstCon repast Sunday evening (Sept 7). Please reach out if you’re interested.

Facebook post from Leanna Pelham Weaver, shared with permission:

Over the past year and a half Ryan Weaver put up an incredible fight against his GBM diagnosis. You've likely followed his very technical updates and passion for research even on a topic as awful as this disease.

This week he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family. There aren't words for how deep this loss is for me, for our son, Beckett, and really anyone who had the chance to meet him.

Please help me in joyfully remembering Ryan at a celebration of life service on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at WildWood Family Farms at 7970 Snow Ave SE, Alto, MI 49302. (Families with children welcome)

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ryan's memory to his son's educational and custodial funds through GoFundMe.
