I had a wonderful morning observing First Sunday with congregations across Detroit. All of the warm greetings and joy filled me with hope as we continue to work everyday to build a better tomorrow for all Michiganders.

Last night at the Carey House in Detroit, I heard the stories of a teacher advocating for equal pay, a student searching for opportunity after graduation, and a formerly incarcerated woman just looking for a second chance. These are the voices that I will fight for as governor.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. I sat down with Lisa McIntyre, Rep. Koleszar, and small business owners in Northville to hear how we can keep business booming while making life a little easier for them and the hundreds of Michiganders they employ.

This morning, I toured ACCESS’s human services and health centers in Dearborn to see how ACCESS is showing up for our most vulnerable populations. I'm committed to working with and standing up for our community organizations, like ACCESS in Lansing.

Such a blast spending my afternoon at the 5th Annual Senior Summer Sizzler at the Eastern Market in Detroit! I ran into so many friends, made new ones, and spoke about the things that matter most this November.

I’m fired up after joining Rep. @maixiong.bsky.social, Rep. McFall, and Macomb County leaders in building momentum to secure a trifecta this fall! We can — and will — get Democrats elected up and down the ballot if we continue to work hard here in places like Macomb.

Today I joined Joseph McClusky to tour the Holland Museum and meet volunteers in Ottawa County. Like so many others, generations of Dutch families have chosen Holland and Michigan because our state is the best place to call home. As governor, I'll fight alongside Joseph to keep it that way.

From Munising to Detroit, summer tourism is booming all across Michigan — but it can’t come at the expense of year-round residents. As governor, I'll give control back to local governments to set their own rules on taxing, approving, and regulating short-term vacation rentals.

This weekend I stopped by the 5th annual Soul Day Festival in Detroit. It was a beautiful celebration of culture, community, and the people who make this city so special. Thank you for welcoming me and showing me a fun time!

Today I joined Rev. Solomon Kinloch Jr. in meeting members of the Triumph Church community across Metro Detroit. Like so many Michigan families, they are leading with faith for a better tomorrow. I am ready to fight for our future as governor so every family can thrive.

I spent the afternoon with the members of AFSCME Retiree Chapter 255, heard their stories, and thanked them for everything they've done for Michigan. I left with a few laughs and even more appreciation for the people who spent their careers in public service for our communities.
