Can writing a scientific paper for the first (or fourth. Or fortieth) be a battle? Yes. But knowing how to approach the process and what your collaborators, supervisors, and journals expect from you during that process lowers the barrier immensely.

Oh HECK yes - FAIR data time! There are TWO physical sciences modules - math/physics/chem and Materials/Chem. Phys. sci. communities are a bit late in the wave of Open Data and repositories, with the interesting exception of strict adherence and support for the CCDC - time to expand that window!

Three separate appliances are currently holding temp at ~60 °C 1. Toaster oven, dehydrating seeds. 2. My heating pad. 3. My cat's heating pad, because he dislikes being near me during the day and if I turn it off he goes to sit directly on top of one of the few heating vents for the house.
