I think the fate of the United States will be decided this year. If Democrats can win one or both houses of Congress, we have a chance. If not, we don’t. The idea that we can ride this out until the 2028 election is a foolish notion. By that time, the U.S. would strongly resemble Putin’s Russia.

Trump was probably their source.

The best way to get to the bottom of the McConnell question is for the governor to appoint a replacement. The GOP legislature passed a law stripping him of that power, but it goes against the state constitution. If they refuse to seat the replacement, take them to court. There’s zero downside.

So I’m guessing the GOP got good polling recently on “communism?”

Eventually Mitch McConnell’s condition as of July 7th will be known. It would be against Scott’s financial interests to fabricate the entire call.

Kasie Hunt asked Scott Jennings on live TV if McConnell would be willing to call in to CNN. The discomfort on Jennings’ face while he tried to bullshit his way around that answer was really something. Methinks we still aren’t getting the whole story.

The best way to honor Mitch McConnell’s legacy is for Andy Beshear to call a special election or appoint whoever he wants to the seat.

In 1932, Australia deployed its military to kill thousands of fast, crafty emus. A general noted the birds could “face machine gun fire with the invulnerability of a tank.” They ran out of ammo and retreated in defeat. Anyways, I like the algae’s chances.

The “Israel is our strongest ally” and “Jews will not replace us” coalition is having a WEEK.

Let’s not forget Sharpie-gate, in which Trump changed the trajectory of a hurricane on a map because the forecast didn’t agree with his tweet.
