I have one parent with stage 4 cancer and 1 parent with dementia. (And a biological parent who died when I was in college) And I’m an only child. This is a lot. And while I know having a sibling doesn’t guarantee support, it still would be nice not to have to shoulder certain feelings alone.

My mom has been requesting for me to cook certain meals and she has been getting her whole life. She’s getting in the protein she needs and is really enjoying my cooking. Any little thing I can do to make this experience better for her makes me feel good. 🥹
