#Nuggets fans should never again believe what is now demonstrably a straight-up lie that Stan Kroenke is more committed to building a legit title contender around Nikola Jokic than pinching pennies which are a tiny fraction of his obscene wealth. 100% greed over loyalty & fans.

BREAKING: Cleveland, Denver and the Clippers have agreed on a trade sending Payton Watson to the Cavaliers, Max Strus to LA, and an unprotected 2031 Cavs first-round pick and a 2032 Kings second-rounder to the Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. Watson will sign a new four-year, $88 million deal to join

Whenever Adam Silver next appears in front of the media and cameras and microphones, the onus will be on NBA reporters to grill him about the league getting into bed with shady bedfellows. This shit just gets sketchier & sketchier, and harder for the NBA to distance itself from.

How and from which players the #Nuggets replace this 👇 lost production - whether from new free agent and draft acquisitions, through more production from current players via better health, etc. - will be one of the bigger questions Denver faces in the 2026-27 season.

For the Denver #Nuggets, losing Tim Hardaway Jr., Jonas Valanciunas, Bruce Brown, and even Jalen Pickett (who played almost as many minutes as Big Val) is pretty significant. They lost ~30% of 2026's minutes, 3s, boards & steals, 27% of points, and 22% of assists & blocks.

I actually endorse many of Adam Silver's actions. Tanking reform is real, better scheduling (ie fewer b2bs), I dig both the play-in and mid-season tourneys, Silver has done much good. But if he drops the ball on the 2 LA team situations, that will sadly dominate his legacy.

In this age of a new generation of superstars - Wemby, Jokic, Luka, Shai, Brunson, etc - it's absolutely amazing that the NBA is "scoring" so many own goals on itself. What might be one of the league's greatest eras is getting tainted by the rot of corruption, and it's just sad.

Adam Silver got an easy start as NBA Commissioner (Sterling), and has made some important, lasting changes to the league, at least some of which are positive. But he sure looks dangerously close now to letting his legacy become predominantly just a patsy for billionaire owners.

Is the #NBA choosing the courting of billionaires' bank accounts over salary cap integrity which is essential to proving the league is not corrupt? If they let the Clippers off the hook for the clearly shady shit they pulled, the answer will be clear.

Despite this kind of bummer #Nuggets offseason, it should be remembered: It's entirely possible that Nikola Jokic remains the best player in the world and dominates this season. The fan vibes are deflated right about now, but the positives shouldn't be lost sight of.

I haven't had time to dig deep into the #Nuggets' 2026-27 schedule yet, but at first glance it sure seems far more favorable than last season's. Which they'll likely need in a year they're almost certainly taking a step back (in overall roster quality, hopefully not injuries).

This was a good lesson for me in skepticism: Follow the evidence where it leads, not where you want it to go. I was looking to prove Joker's 3x2s were "better". I was pretty much just wrong. Russ may have been less efficient, but the results did in fact produce wins.

Russell Westbrook in his 221 triple-double games: 24.3 points 12.6 rebounds 12.8 assists 1.7 steals 1.5 3s **.719 win percentage** I once dug into this looking for empty calories, but I was wrong. The closest to that is his .523 TS%, truth is he just won a shit ton of games.
