It was great to spend time with this brilliant group discussing youth engagement ideas for Kensington & Bayswater. From education and employment, to votes at 16 and democratic engagement, it’s vital we put young people’s voices at the heart of decisions that affect them. Lots more to come.

A very special visit to the Kensington Care Home recently. It was lovely to spend time with residents and chat with the fantastic staff who do such an important job every day. A very timely visit given the Prime Minister's announcement on social care this week.
Always a highlight of the summer - getting to visit Harvey’s beautiful garden in North Kensington and see his latest creation. This year’s display celebrates what would have been Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday.
Out in Bayswater today with Councillor Maggie Carman and this great team to listen to residents and discuss local issues.
Pleased to see @theguardian.com covering Rowan’s story. I'm relieved his daughter was able to get home safely, but it's worrying to think how many other families might be caught out by these rule changes. I’ve written to the Minister responsible to make sure no one else is put in this awful position

A brilliant afternoon celebrating Morocco's Throne Day with my good friend His Excellency Hakim Hajoui and members of the Moroccan community from across the country, including Kensington & Bayswater.
I’ve been a strong supporter of the social ban for under 16s, but there shouldn’t be a cliff edge at 16. I welcome the government trial with 300 families on voluntary overnight curfews for 16 and 17 year olds, and I’m glad this will be rolled out nationally. Listen to our discussion 5Live.
Inspiring evening at the Young K&C Achievement Awards with so many of the best people in our community recognised for their brilliant work with young people.
It’s a big mistake for the Conservatives to say scrapping the Climate Change Act one of their main priorities.
A very welcome announcement from the PM this morning. Our local pubs aren’t just about what’s behind the bar. They bring people together and support the whole community. That’s why we’re reducing business rates for pubs by 20% from April. Cheers to that! 🍻
It’s extraordinary that Conservative candidates at the next General Election will be forced to sign up to extreme policies - such as leaving The European Convention on Human Rights and abandoning efforts to tackle climate change.
A huge thank you to the hundreds of residents in Queen’s Gate, Abingdon, Holland and Campden wards who braved the heat and came to my recent community coffee mornings.
Nigel Farage has decided to spend his summer fighting a bin.
An inspiring visit the Supplementary Schools Exhibition in North Kensington with Councillor Abdullahi Nur and Councillor Nadia Nail last month. 📽️ shot by Westway Trust
Lunch at the brilliant Sporting Club London in North Ken in the sunshine yesterday. IYKYN…
A fantastic evening at the SEBRA Summer Party! Great to catch up with so many residents and, of course, to have the honour of drawing the famous raffle. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, and to John, Steve and the team for making SEBRA the success that it is.
Thank you Politics Home for asking me to review London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe - which I know is on lots of people’s summer reading list.

I continue to be very concerned about Thames Water and their performance. We’ve now learned that they have slowed their rate of reporting pollution incidents by 70% since 2022.
Sir Keir Starmer left our country in a better place than when he found it. His record is lifting 500,000 children out of poverty, reducing NHS waiting times by 400,000, introducing the Hillsborough Law...
Tonight, we passed the Hillsborough Bill in the House of Commons, which I'm sure in decades to come will deliver a shift in power in this country away from the state, and towards openness and accountability.
I’ve heard strongly from our Iranian and Jewish communities of their concern about hostile state backed threats on British soil, including from the IRGC.
A lovely visit to Monica Eter inside the Portobello Arcade where they make all their own candles, scents and perfume. A brilliant local business on the rise!
My constituent Billy Hood has been in jail in the UAE for the past 5 years. This November he will turn 30. He is a father and a son, and his family desperately want him home.
The process for selecting a new Leader of the Labour Party started this morning. You asked me what this will look like - here's how it works.
Farage is up to his neck in sleaze, and his latest stunt does nothing to dispel the many serious questions that remain about his finances and conduct. If he beats Binface and is re-elected in Clacton, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards should resume their investigations without delay.
Good week to remind those who seem to have forgotten about the Nolan Principles that guide public life…
This morning I was proud to nominate Andy Burnham to be the next Leader of the Labour Party and our next Prime Minister.
Nigel Farage has resigned, but today’s stunt only reaffirms the questions he has to answer on his finances. He can’t evade this much longer.
It was an honour to join the New West End Synagogue community for the induction and welcome of Rabbi Aaron and Rebbetzen Miriam Lipsey. Congratulations to the Chairman Jeff Altman and everyone involved in a beautiful event.
Politicians should serve the people who elected them, not billionaires based overseas.
