this guy is one of a few "misinformation for liberals" creators on TikTok. he's been diagnosing illness & forecasting death based on clipped press conference footage of republicans for a while, and I'm sure, much like end-of-world prophecy, when we blow past the forecast date it does not phase him

Getting into my groove with making up names on the spot in improv and D&D is making writing up course notes a little weird. I can't exactly be like "ReSamuel (a tortle in a mullet wig who believes he's the reincarnation of a guy named Samuel) is tough to draw."

Pretty consistently, new R learners get tripped up over *installing* a package vs *loading* it. They'll install it, but then try using it without loading it, or they'll re-install it every session. I feel like there's a deeper conceptual issue that I haven't figured out how to speak to.

i teach R and Python because students won’t need expensive institutional licenses to use them in the future. There’s no way in hell i’m getting them hooked on expensive AI agent tools that haven’t even been priced for what they cost yet
