An extension of the “not my fault/no confession” corruption Trump and MAGA brought to Christianity. It can’t be Mike’s fault for being a weak candidate with a foolish campaign.
Manic Mike Lindell is ranting and raving that he won’t concede.

So much of the Christian life involves, not the Spirit or the intellect, but the moral will—what we want to do. The problem comes when individuals and their apologists couch matters of the will as spiritual or intellectual. (Just a thought that passed through my brain.)
Ask an anti-immigration MAGA “Christian” how they will react to the demographics in heaven, and their answer will be, “No sweat. Jesus will change me into the kind of person I have no interest in being while I’m here on earth.”
Lewis Hamilton refused to drive like his British predecessors because he wanted to avoid Mansell culture.
Just read it, going to steal it, today’s edition; “The short answer is no. The long answer is noooooooo.”
From the MAGA Bible: “O taste and see that our anger, fear, and spite are good!”
Old man rant: Now that 95% of all PGA tourneys are sponsored, you never know where the tournaments ARE. Was a time when you knew where the Houston Open was.

A perceptive comment by Hannah Anderson about why guys like controversial pastor Doug Wilson is so popular with evangelicals. Helps explain why they are so susceptible to misinformation and manipulation. From Dispatch Faith.
So did the World Cup wipe out the US trade deficit for July?
MAGA Theology: King David should have made like Trump by denying even knowing Bathsheba and crudely insulting her. By confessing in that embarrassing 51st Psalm, David is responsible for creating the weak beta males in the church today.
Social media today is like soccer. The slightest nudge is amplified into a capital crime by opponents, who then collectively lose their s^*# over it. #WorldCup
It will be interesting to see what Trump’s “quid” will be for FIFA’s “pro quo.”
To the MAGA “Christian,” self is the reference point. What they think is true is truth. What they do is allowed because it’s forgiven (think “once saved, always saved.”) Anything unpleasant (i.e., reflection and confession) is rejected. The Bible is referenced only when convenient.
MAGA’s missionary philosophy to the nations: “Stay away. Don’t call us; we’ll call you.”
With all delays and appeals having been exhausted, we must begin the three-month prison sentence known as summer in Alabama. We can only hope for early parole.
I appreciate Brian’s point here. When sports media folks oversimplify a gambling story with “pile-on” writing that seems like a sanctimony competition, they also neglect important angles to the story — i.e., high-profile sports’ and media’s business relationship with gambling companies.
New at Sports Media Guy: Some real-time public scholarship on how the Brendan Sorsby case was covered and what it can tell us about how gambling scandals are covered. This one's interesting, because the "villain" in this story isn't who it usually is. sportsmediaguy.substack.com/p/the-compli...
Church history will reflect that Donald Trump is an enemy of Christ who used evangelicals for political gain while personally rejecting their faith and its values.
Congrats to the SBC dudes for finding yet ANOTHER way to demonstrate their righteousness by pointing outward instead of inward. Women pastors join gays and immigrants. Sexually abusive pastors? A little too close to home for Al Mohler and the boys.
I agree that the Alabama Legislature’s elimination of the faculty senate at Auburn was a bad idea. The one bright spot is that it saves profs the annual ritual of running for cover when the need for a faculty senate member was announced.
The rich irony is that after endorsing Trump’s name and likeness everywhere, MAGA “Christians” will piously chide LGBTQ+ folks this month that “the Bible says Pride is a bad thing.” #LGBTQPride #LGBTQ #PrideMonth
I’m guessing MAGA “Christians” consider King David a wimp for writing Psalm 51. A real man like Trump would claim he never met Bathsheba and she slept around and she came on to him and she was so ugly he wouldn’t even look at her and then Franklin Graham would plead not to rush to judgment.
An orange-and-blue sunset over Auburn. Adjectives fail.
Things you won’t hear at today’s MAGA Christian exploitation event in DC: “Lord, forgive us for the times that our loyalty to Trump has exceeded our loyalty to You.”
The Alabama Legislature is meeting to reschedule a May 19 primary that voters are already casting their ballots for.
I usually ignore the cable news panel nonsense, but Mockler’s f-ing hand was nowhere near Scott Jennings’ face.
If Trump were King David in 2 Samuel 11-12, he would have executed or exiled the prophet Nathan, denied fathering Bathsheba’s baby and called her horrible names, while the Franklin Graham’s in his court and MAGAs among his subjects would say, “Don’t judge him; he’s a king, not a prophet.”
