I’ve been working on DiscOne because I missed the simple ritual of putting on an album and actually looking at the artwork while it plays. It is a music player that connects to Apple Music to bring back that CD collection experience. Here is a quick look at how it works. Launching on Tuesday.

As I reflect a bit while working my way thru WWDC26 videos, I was remembering WWDC13 when Apple introduced a major redesign of iOS. Before that announcement during the keynote, they had full-size slides of many of the default app icons, in their fully skeuomorphic glory, one last tribute.

Mandalorian and Grogu is even better the second time! Aside: This film connects back to Star Wars The Clone Wars a bit, which has a special place in my heart. My daughter’s introduction to Star Wars was reading short books telling the story of that movie. Ashoka is her favorite character.

Disc One is coming together. I’ve updated the app to show albums as a CD tower with 3 columns. Drop a disc on the player and listen to the album. Coming soon for iPhone. Link in thread for the TestFlight
