Living in East Dulwich, working in a research library, wondering about philosophy and Judaism. https://philosophicalbibliotherapy.wordpress.com/

Last night, due to a fault on my home landline, I had no internet access. Mobile reception inside my flat is very poor so I couldn't use tethering. It's surprising how much I rely on the internet for so many things, from listening to the radio to ordering a library book to checking an address.

My home printer has broken down. Probably irreparable. And, sadly I think maybe this will be the last printer I will ever own. It really doesn't seem ethical to buy a machine that I use less than once a month, if that. What I need is a place I can go 24/7 which will print out from a USB or email.

And as the library book of time slides into the book bin of eternity, I would like to wish all my readers East of Dulwich, American, Europe, Asia and around the world, a peaceful and pleasant weekend.

Street scene at night. Clerkenwell with St Paul’s Cathedral in the background.

As I get towards the end of my working life, so fortunate to be working in a great team of people, people who are kind, helpful and easy to get along with. If you are at the start of your career and you find yourself in the same situation, make the most of it. It's not to be taken for granted!
