Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.

Getting ready to check in for my 2nd eye surgery. Say prayers it goes better than last time cuz I really don't wanna go back to being Patches O'Houlihan. I mean the patch look did suit me, but ya'll have no idea how much having 2 eyes helps with that walking thing, especially when Gravity hates you.
Johnnie Jae@johnniejae.bsky.social · 3mo agoWell....remember how I said "overall, I'm okay" 🤣 spoke too soon. My lupus pounced on my eye and I woke up with a goopy, inflammed, bloodshot eye. So now I got to wear a patch, which is really hard to do when you have a round ass NDN head. At least I have the forehead height for it 🤣
Got the results from my LP yesterday & it's not the good news hoped for but it's still good news. It means my Neuro is a hell of a doc & we're one step closer to answers. More testing and procedures on the horizon, but at least now it's not just throwing meds and tests at a wall to see what sticks.
