The sooner @bsky.app adds those features, the more users twitter loses, lowering the number of users @bsky.app needs to supplant Twitter as the first app opened

While on the one hand, I appreciate the new "Trending" section on @bsky.app, I really want to see slightly less trendy trends. What's popular to a few thousand of us, rather than hundreds of thousands of us. My suspicion is there are more trends related to cats and kindness at that measure.
Finally got around to shipping some critical performance improvements on the firehose side of @dazzle.fm I should have done it sooner, it took a ton of DB pressure off
The Bsky trending topics page we've been working on is now available in a public beta. We didn't manage to beat Bsky to the punch, but we're still pretty proud of it. dazzle.fm

give me a firehose and a gpu stand, and i will replicate x's radar and trending features on bsky. -- this project has been a ton of fun. it gave me an reason to dust off my golang skills, and also to fine-tune a custom embed model on bsky threads.
This is a neat idea to make desktop agents more knowledgable. Reminds me of LSPs for IDEs.
