I needed a figure to represent Molly O’Hara the rather formidable owner of the Red Rock Saloon in my What a Cowboy game at Lard Workshop this weekend. A search in the unpainted Foundry pile presented a likely candidate. Channelling Joanie Stubbs from the great Deadwood TV series. Base to be finished

Delighted to be presenting “What a Cowboy” at Lard Workshop on Saturday. Can Sheriff Roundwood get the notorious outlaw leader Rich Clarke onto the 3:10 train to Lardville to face justice? Or will Clarke’s sidekick & accomplice in crime Nick Skinner lead the Clarke Gang to the rescue? #spreadthelard
We’ve plans for Borodino 1812 later this year. And you can’t have Borodino without the flèches and the iconic church. So here’s the church. 3d printed model.
It’s the annual Waterloo game this weekend and things are taking shape. Troops have deployed into their Corps areas but will no doubt see some tactical rearranging on the morning of the battle. 1 allied corps yet to arrive. Hopefully the rain will hold off this time 😉 #blackpowder #waterloo
Got the Orklandz Gaslands game on the table at OML this afternoon. The usual chaos & mayhem. Just what you expect from Gaslands. #ruleofcarnage #gaslands #orklandz
I knew there was a reason I’ve kept this in the cupboard for over 20 years! The crashed Imperial shuttle from the Battle of Macragge finally gets a paint job and adds some colour to the Gaslands Orklands table.
And that’s the full collection all finished (bar bases for the bikes and a quick varnish). Sort out the vehicle cards (hope the dice & templates arrive early next week) and we should be good for Orklands Gaslands at OML on Friday afternoon 🤞#Gaslands #Orklands #spreadthelard
2 down 2 to go! Another Orklands racer done. Great fun putting these together.
Expanding my vehicles for Orkland Gaslands. Here’s the first, 3 more to do!
Great day at the Partizan show today with @jaje7406.bsky.social & Charley Walker presenting an old but rather good game from Too Fat Lardies “Charley Don’t Surf”, their company level Vietnam ruleset. Golf 2/5 fought their way through to the MACV compound during the early stages of the Tet offensive
Rebased my Warmaster figures onto 80mm wide bases for use with Midgard, Hail Caesar & other element based rules. Really like the way the larger bases give 10mm figures gives a sense of formations. Never really liked the 40mmx20mm Warmaster bases. Done a unit of the new WA dwarves as well!
WIP Wargames Atlantic 10mm dwarves. Surprisingly fun to paint.
More 10mm. Bretonnian Pegasus knights. And the Bretonnian Lord. Lovely little figures and fun to paint. 10mm Wargames Atlantic dwarves next.
10mm Bretonnian Lord on Hippogryph. Really fun little model.
And just to prove the point here is the finished Bretonnian (or generic knightly based human faction) trebuchet. 10mm 3d print which is likely to hit the table using Midgard or possibly some bastardised version of Warmaster.
Assault Guards and some more hanger finishes off my Republican platoon for CoC SCW. Carlist platoon next for the nationalists, but I’m getting distracted by 10mm fantasy at the moment 😬
Midgard Moot this weekend. A great event hosted by @mogsymakes.bsky.social. Hosted my “Eagle of the Ninth” game with 1 victory a piece across the day. All finished off with a curry and several drinks in the evening. The Moot is becoming one of my favourite events of the year!
Finished off some of the SCW bits and pieces lying around. Couple of bombers, Soviet advisor and standard bearer (standard still to be done) and an assault guard I found hiding! Lovely figures that are fun to paint.
Second batch of SCW Assault Guards in lightweight overalls. Lovely Paul Hick’s sculpts by Empress Miniatures.
SCW Assault Guards off the painting queue and ready for basing.
Empire Engineer with long rifle. He’ll be a character in my Empire Midgard force!
Finished off some bits and pieces and now based ready for the table…although probably not together 🤔
A complete change of pace today as we left the streets of Vietnam and travelled to Plancenoit in 1815 as the Prussians attempted to seize the village from the French. A fun game of Black Powder. An infantry slugfest in and around the village with some swirling cavalry action as well. Great fun
