Started watching sugar on Apple TV after seeing some hints that you could basically view it as a Culture/special curcumstances story and it’s pretty fun from that angle. I have no idea if I would have enjoyed it if I wasn’t already a fan of the culture though.

I just saw the dnd universes beyond shit and honestly all I can picture is a room full of execs standing in a circle chanting “slop! Slop! Slop!” While they prepare to butcher dnd for any profitability left in the IP by making it Fortnite.

Ran session 3 of deep carbon observatory. The party ran into Rem Koolhouse and Ruskin Behavior having an impotent wizards duel on a bridge and then used their corpses to go grapnel hook fishing with for a giant pike that they took back to town to help the starving townsfolk

We picked up a knockoff peloton this week for like $100 and honestly it’s been great. I’ll jump on it and pedal for 10-15 minutes at a time throughout the day. I don’t have a schedule that’s super conducive to going to the gym but I will run on my exercise wheel like a hamster while doomscrolling.

Man I love shared deck magic games. Played JundJund with a buddy this afternoon on tabletop simulator and it’s such a perfect way to scratch the itch for a grindy mid-range combat focused game of magic, but without so much complexity that we weren’t able to shoot the shit the whole time.

Session 1 of deep carbon observatory went well. Rolled up characters in OSE and did a few of the onslaught of carrowmore encounters the party will work through them as they cross town looking for the other adventurers that they heard rumours about.

Going to be starting Deep carbon observatory tonight. Heard good things about it for years so fingers crossed. We’ll probably be using world of dungeons carrying characters forward from black wyrm of brandonsford and prison of the hated pretender. Apparently this is the indie darling campaign now

From a chemistry background the peroxide was probably all gone almost instantly. An environmental scientist would know better but it degrades into H2O and O2. Are we sure they didn’t just oxygenate the water and supercharge the bloom? It didn’t look like enough peroxide to do shit to the algae.

They're dumping slimy, green peroxide water from the Reflecting Pool back into the Potomac. #dc @popville.bsky.social

I have a particular disgust for people who post ai generated images of animals being cute. Fuck you. Nature is awesome, ai is inherently destructive towards it in a scale that’s hard to put into words. Go outside and take pictures of real animals while you still can you fucking losers.

Tax the rich, but also build a second IRS that’s whole job is to root out billionaire tax evasion and then as a part of those tax laws throw their asses in prison for a decade without bail and seize their assets if they don’t pay. you can be rich and live in unimaginable comfort, with scrutiny.
