i wonder how many people who get into charity shop records in any sort of ‘not-inconsiderable’ way have a section of steel band lps. i have about ?6? now. for years i had two (one of which was given to me by a ex work pa) and would slip by them if i saw’em. not so now -

i remember the chrome tape i used to have of George McCrae’s ROCK YR BABY album , home dubbed and by who i don’t know don’t remember , nor who gave it to me or rather how it came in to my possession, i wudder been about 13
old fav. second copy from a couple of year ago. first maybe ten year. i saw tWO copies in a same chazza recently and didn’t buy them - dunno why. a few days later i ‘went back’ for them , feeling an omission - they weren’t there ( eccles / swinton )! must’ve been Pudsey 😬😵🥴🤪🧱🧠💥
