To be clear: I fully support the candidates Gillibrand has hitched onto in this fundraising solicitation (for her own outfit): I've phone-banked for and/or contributed to two of them, and may for the other two. But not through Gillibrand, Chuck or the Dem Establishment.

I'm proud to have contributed to @abdulelsayed.bsky.social's winning bid. Just now, I got a text from Kirsten Gillibrand. Trying to get me to give her money. To prevent all other candidates like AES from challenging her cozy racket. Is there a button for "Block This Person Forever"?

Speaker Johnson, this is not a "family matter." It's credible allegations of very serious violent crimes. If the charges against Max Miller are accurate, he deserves to be in prison. That's not me saying so-- it's Max Effin' Miller.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com · 2h ago

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) said the House Ethics Committee will look into the allegations of domestic abuse involving Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio), saying it is “not my business” to get involved in Miller’s family matters.

Max Miller's actions are NOT "a family matter": ♦️If the charges are true (and they sure seem to be), Miller committed violent CRIMES. This isn't just a "family matter" that's no business of anyone else. If Thune doesn't believe Emily Moreno (& 2 other women), he should just say so.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · yesterday

RAJU: Sen. Moreno is calling for Max Miller to resign. Do you side w/Moreno? THUNE: It's a family matter &, um, I don't have any observations beyond that Q: If a member of Congress is facing domestic abuse allegations, should they continue to serve? T: It's a House matter. It's a family issue too

Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.

This is EXACTLY the energy Dems need to win. @abdulelsayed.bsky.social has the policies, charisma, and attitude to beat Rogers. All the GOP has is anti-Muslim bigotry. They'll try to disguise it behind empty words (communist, socialist, antifa), but that's all they've got. Will it be enough?

El-Sayed: "Mike Rogers is a guy who wants to put a data center in your backyard so he can make himself feel a little more manly by making an AI video ... he's a guy who went back to Florida so he could lick every single boot Donald Trump owns to bet for his endorsement."

El-Sayed on Islamophobia: "That's the only play they got. They're gonna point at me, they're gonna point at my name, like, 'Wow, he's different.' That's the best you got? You can't actually talk about what you want to do? My name is not raising your gas prices. My name is now taking us to war."

El-Sayed: "They think they want to use my whole name against me. Mike, listen man, If you can't say the name -- it's Abdulrahman -- keep the name out your damn mouth."

"Crews having been working around the clock on the project, which Trump hopes will wrap up before Chinese President Xi Jinping visits." Mr President, Xi doesn't care about your ballroom, or your helipad, or any of your other vanity projects. He cares about substance. Because he's a serious person.

Trump orders changes to new helipad after weeks of around-the-clock work

Contractors have removed the granite seal that had begun to take shape in recent days, after the president complained about the slope of the White House lawn.

Note to all the Wise Establishment Pundits who've been parroting Trump's line about a "peace-deal" in Gaza: ♦️There never was such a deal-- not in October, not now. ♦️The October deal was nothing more than a prisoner exchange. As was clear at the time. ♦️Trump got played by Netanyahu-- then, and now:

The Associated Press@apnews.com · yesterday

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas has been completely disarmed.

+1. -I've contributed to El-Sayed, and I hope he'll be Michigan's next Senator. On policy grounds, I'd pick him over Stevens 100 times out of 100. -If I were confident Stevens would beat Rogers, and El-Sayed would lose, I'd reluctantly support her. But I don't know who'd do better. Nobody does.

Gotta break with you here - I’m not sure we know what will happen, and if El-Sayed is the Dem candidate he could very well could still be a shot against Rogers (presumed Repub candidate and uncomfortable Trump sort-of buddy…)
