Sunday: an LLM disproves an 87-year-old mathematics conjecture, seemingly on the prompter's whim Monday: the UK govt dept responsible for thinking strategically about AI + research in the round is disbanded, seemingly over a petty civil service turf war. Good one. 🇬🇧🦶🔫

The Argentina behavior on every foul - encircling the ref & yelling at him - is illegal & no other team does it as comprehensively & often as they do, & it should not be tolerated.

You have to think at least 4-5 places in that final squad were wrong either tactically, mentality, form or fitness wise, which is quite an error rate from 23 (excl the GKs) (Chalobah, Henderson, Mainoo, either Eze or Madueke, and purely for fitness reasons, maybe Saka)

England didn’t have another fully fit 6/8 style player - Elliot Anderson and Declan rice fully fit would have seen us into the final I think. A midfield three of Bellingham, rice and Anderson can win the euros next time. Who knows what went on with Mainoo. But inability to rest Rice cost us.

It will be peak Starmer if we win the World Cup, the genuinely big football fan PM has it as his literal last moment of official glory, and he celebrates it with an incredibly awkward photo and some terribly written social media commentary supposedly in his name

🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer will attend the World Cup final in New York if England beat Argentina on Wednesday He would then fly back to London and officially resign as Prime Minister
